Volvo Trucks North America has published a feature story on MVM Logistics as part of its Volvo Trucks Stories series, alongside a short film, The Shift, shot with our team in Vancouver, Washington.
The piece follows the company from its start in 2020 as a two-truck operation to today's 60-plus truck fleet running refrigerated over-the-road lanes from the West Coast into the Midwest, and looks at how co-founders Dinu Mocan and Eugene Melinte built the operation around discipline, experience and people.

A driver-first fleet, by design
Both founders came up through the driver's seat, and the article digs into how that shapes everything from equipment choices to the owner-operator path MVM offers its drivers.
“When I'm buying a truck, I'm buying it like it's for me. If I like it, I'm pretty sure the driver is going to like it.”
Driver Jacob Latypov puts it more simply in the story: the new VNL “feels like a luxury car. Sometimes I forget I'm driving a semi-truck.”
The numbers behind the trucks
The feature also covers the business side: over 10% fuel savings with the new VNL, worth $5,000 to $7,000 per truck per year, real-time fleet visibility through Volvo Connect, and the TEC Equipment partnership that keeps the fleet moving nationwide.
