MVM Logistics has taken delivery of its newest Volvo VNLs through TEC Equipment in Portland, continuing a fleet strategy that has kept us almost exclusively in Volvo iron since the company's first truck in 2020.
The decision follows months of running the redesigned VNL on our toughest lanes. Drivers responded immediately to the new cab, the visibility and the sleeper layout, and the operations side saw the numbers move in the right direction.
“We're seeing over a 10% increase in fuel savings. That's $5,000 to $7,000 a year per truck.”
Every new unit comes online with Volvo Connect telematics and Samsara tracking, full service contracts, and the same rule the founders have applied since truck number one: if the owners wouldn't drive it, the fleet doesn't buy it.
More VNLs are scheduled to join the fleet through the rest of the year as MVM grows past 65 trucks.
